Monday, July 26, 2004 KRG_RedFish Hosting 1vs1 Aztec vs. Aztec "Sacrifice" Tournament
The tournament will take place in UNRATED 8 at 1700 GMT on Sunday, August 1st. To make it simple, just sign up here. There are also very many sites to sign-up at, but I don't want KRG_RedFish going head over heels trying to find the new entries.
You can also find the Tourney Details here. This looks like a very fun tournament. Basically, it's Aztec vs. Aztec only, and the Map is pre-set for each round of the tourney. The only random luck factor will be who gets the better Rare Resources on their side at the start, but that doesn't happen often. It's a great tourney for people looking for competitive games, and for people getting used to tournament settings. It's also the best time to learn as much as you can about 1 of the 24 Nations in T&P since there will be plenty of other players who will be doing the same. The Aztecs are a Juggernaut Nation, so players should be warned not to fall behind in military prowess. Every game will be bloody as hell, like how most die hards want their steak. Sign up now! QuarterFinals: In Bracket 1, DaRq_Vorfidus (13) defeats AU_bird (9) to go into the Semi-Finals. In Bracket 2, FrustrationLife (6) defeats TWC_ShaDowZ (2) to go into the Semi-Finals. In Bracket 3, ROSA_SHIMAKO (11) defeats El_Capitan (3) to go into the Semi-Finals. In Bracket 4, Tascan (n/a) defeats TinTin1225 (n/a) to go into the Semi-Finals. All the top seeded players were upset in the QuarterFinals! This is anybody's tourney, folks! The Semi-Final and Final's Bracket is up. Semi-Finals: FrustrationLife (6) vs. Tascan (n/a). Game 1: FrustrationLife (6) wins the 1st game with Aztecs vs. Tascan's (n/a) Dutch. Game 2: Tascan (n/a) wins the 2nd game with Mongols vs. FrustrationLife (6)'s Romans. Game 3: Tascan (n/a) with Japanese defeats FrustrationLife (6)'s British to continue to the Finals! Tascan (n/a) must be out for revenge for not being seeded for this Tournament! Semi-Finals: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) vs. ROSA_SHIMAKO (11). Game 1: ROSA_SHIMAKO (11) wins the 1st game with Romans vs. DaRq_Vorfidus's (13) Aztecs. Game 2: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) makes a comeback to win the 2nd game with Dutch vs. ROSA_SHIMAKO (11)'s Japanese. Game 3: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) with Romans defeats ROSA_SHIMAKO's (11) Aztecs to continue to the Finals! It looks like the Aztecs weren't particularly useful in this Semi-Final match-up, and the Romans were very useful! It was an exciting Semi-Finals, folks! DaRq_Vorfidus (13) advanced to the Finals to go against Tascan (n/a)! Both the lower seeded players beat out the higher seeded players! Not to mention that the player who won the 1st game for both Semi-Final matches ended up losing 2 in a row! This is one crazy tournament! FINALS: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) vs. Tascan (n/a). Game 1: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) with Mongols defeats Tascan's (n/a) Nubians. Game 2: Tascan (n/a) makes a comeback with Romans to even the series vs. DaRq_Vorfidus's (13) Nubians! Game 3: DaRq_Vorfidus (13) is victorious with British vs. Tascan's (n/a) Koreans! It's over folks, Tascan's (n/a) rampant disregard for seeded players has ended!
